Chef Shannon’s Kids Cooking Camp: July 15-18
Chef Shannon’s Kids Cooking Camp is back by popular demand!
Twelve young chefs will have the opportunity to learn basic cooking skills, as well as advanced techniques and lessons that can be incorporated into numerous recipes. Students will learn how to read a recipe and efficiently prepare dishes using knife skills and cooking methods. Additional topics that will be covered are menu planning, cleaning, etiquette, and being a gracious guest at dinner parties. Shannon will tell stories from her world travels and demonstrate a few of the recipes that people have shared with her. On the fourth day of camp, students will learn the technique of grilling outdoors, and they will share a meal in Shannon’s outdoor kitchen.
Returning students from last year’s camp are welcome to attend since the recipes will have changed.
Kids Cooking Camp is a 4-day experience for kids ages 11-15 years old from 10am - 1:30p.
